Tanja Siebert Quartett

It is not astonishing that at the hectic beginning of the third century some our most treasured melodies are from the period of the 1920ies to the 1950ies. Since that time, these jazz songs have inspired both the audience and the artists. The Tanja Siebert quartet is dedicated to present these musical jewels of the American songbook as what they once were - songs. Besides well known jazz standards, the quartet presents in their current program some compositions of the composers, pianists ans singers David Frishberg and Bob Dorough. Sophisticated arragements offer the audience an exiting mixture of swing, blues, bossas and ballads. No matter whether it is a concert or background music, the quartet offers great jazz. The current program consists of some of the most brilliant works of composers like Richard Rogers, George Gershwin, Cole Porter and Nat King Cole. The repertoire includes songs like: „They can´t take that away from me“, „Dream a Little Dream“, „Straighten Up and Fly Right“, „Just One of Those Things“ or less known pieces like “All or nothing at all”, “Comes love” and “I´m a fool to want you”.
